Solar panel bucket trap
What is the design of this trap? I had been envisioning a solar-powered UV light trap for flying insects, but since it caught this flight-incapable carabid I'm curious what it actually is!

Looks like the surrounding vegetation is tall enough for this beetle to have climbed in rather than flown.

Thanks!
I really struggled with those "sutures" on the top of the elytra and the deep one in the middle of the pronotum. It seemed those should be diagnostic yet they were varied.
