Sand Wasp - Dielis plumipes - female

Sand Wasp - Dielis plumipes - Female
Indian Lake Rd, Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida, USA
September 10, 2016
This insect was on a white passionflower along with a carpenter bee (mostly hidden in background). I am thinking a sand wasp? I would think that the gold bands on the abdomen would be fairly distinctive. Unfortunately I did not get a photo of the face.

This would be a great additio
This would be a great addition to iNaturalist, if you know the location it was collected. The data stays indefinitely and is more useful to scientists there.

Scoliidae
