Bugs in potting soil.

I found these bugs next to my plant, that I just repotted. At first I thought someone had knocked the pot, and dirt came out, but then I looked closely and saw legs.They seem to die once they are no longer in the pot. When I water the plant, i see a lot of activity, bugs are moving aorund in the soil. I have not yet seen these bugs on my plant. Can someone please Identify these bugs and let me know if they are harmful to my plant??? Thank you.
