April 17, 2017: collected a low-to-the-ground stem gall of an undetermined plant
April 22, 1027: 6 gall midges emerged
almost daily: more flies emerged
May 1, 2017: only found 2 emergent holes in the gall, cut the gall in half to find more fly pupae and emerging adults.
Watch Here They were quite colorful/beautiful.
