water-penny beetle larva

water-penny beetle larva
Middle Fork John Day River, elevation 2800', Grant County, Oregon, USA
August 20, 2017
Found this critter crawling around on a piece of fabric that was submerged along the edge of the stream. Is it Eubrianax edwardsii or Psephenus falli? (Is there even any sure way to tell?)

Moved, water penny
Moved from ID Request.

a shot of the venter would help
general shape looks more like Psephenus
