European Fire Ant?

European Fire Ant?
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
December 27, 2017
Size: 3 mm
This is the third of these I have seen indoors in the last week: walking across my desk, across my computer screen away from my desk, across the kitchen counter.
When viewing images online it looks like a European Fire Ant but they all reference outdoor habitats. It is reddish in colour.

Frassed
Moved from Ants.

Roaming around inside a structure, could be Myrmica rubra.
But not determinable, so frassing.

Thief ant?
The quality of the image isn't great, but I'll take a guess. Thief ant, Solenopsis molesta? They are very small, with two nodes and an antennal club, and are sometimes a pest. They have been documented in Canada. Worth a shot. Good luck!
