Trirhabda - Trirhabda eriodictyonis

Trirhabda - Trirhabda eriodictyonis
Paramount Ranch, Ventura County, California, USA
April 20, 2016
This appears to be T. eriodictyonis, but see if you can what plant we don't have here! It may have come from over the hills, however...

Moved to Trirhabda eriodictyonis
Moved from Trirhabda.

Conforms well with characters of T. eriodictyonis (e.g. overall pale color; tiny pronotal spots; linear plaga; etc).

I'm sure that's what this is...thankfully, eriodictyonis is one of the few unambiguous species of the genus in our area.

As far as the host plant goes, Eriodictyon crassifolium grows in the area...in particular, it's on this CalFlora illustrated plant list for Paramount Ranch.
