Surprisingly, this is the first Latrodectus image submitted in December from Arizona. Now, the data map should show this spider occurring year around in the state.
Found under a large bag of garden soil.

It
is surprising, as throughout the state hesperus is one of the most abundant spiders... along with Loxosceles...
