Was the ID confirmed? I think Sympistis levis is more likely based on range.

Chuck Harp and others have a substantive Sympistis research project in progress. I have sent many (Montana) seth, levi, and incubus specimens to Chuck over the past several years.

Jim Troubridge comments, "The first image is definitely levis, the second is probably levis based on range but has characters that make it look a lot like sanina. To be certain I would have to see the hind wing, so I'd not show it." The second is your image is photo #1481515. (Jim as you probably know, is the author of Sympistis seth.)

Unless you or Chuck Harp have reason to object, I'd like to move this to levis and #1481515 to genus. I'd also add this one to levis at MPG since we have no live images of for that species.
