Aseptis pseudolichena? - Perigea undescribed

Aseptis pseudolichena? - Perigea undescribed
Basin campground, Big Bend Ntl. Park, Brewster County, Texas, USA
August 27, 2016
At light. I also paged through all the Apamea without a match. The info at BOLD says that this species is found in "open pine & oak areas with grass and scrub". Similar to what you see in the Basin at about 5,000 ft. elev. This species seems highly variable, from light to dark, also of the hind wing and without distinct AM, PM, reniform and orbicular spots. Giving the forewing a very "blotchy" look.

Looks like you nailed this on
Looks like you nailed this one. The wing tip sure looks more like a Perigea. Thanks for the correction.
