Maybe a Mite?

Maybe a Mite?
West Covina, LA County, California, USA
January 3, 2017
Size: 1 mm
I found a few of these crawling around on my phone screen and probably only noticed them on there because of the contrast of the screen. They did not fly nor jump that I saw and they are a fraction of the size of a flea. One was even smaller and lighter, almost white in color.

mite, yes
