Hemipteran in snow (Longistigma caryae?) - Longistigma caryae

Hemipteran in snow (Longistigma caryae?) - Longistigma caryae

Size: 5 mm
Found under a beech tree, in snow, on a windy day that was approximately 15 °F. A suggestion on iNaturalist was Longistigma caryae, which seems like good guess except adults are not reported to be overwintering. Thanks for any help with ID and with thoughts on natural history. Also, might this be a wingless female?

Moved from Aphids.

Yep.
Only thing I know of that looks similar is Tuberolachnus salignus but they have a big dark dorsal tubercle between the siphunculi.

They are not known to overwinter as anything but eggs, but I wonder what temperature will kill off all the adults and nymphs though. This may be just a well preserved frozen but dead specimen.

I can't tell if this is an adult or not, it looks like it might have wing bugs shriveled up on the side, which would indicate immature, or it might be an adult that didn't molt properly late in the season.
