Pterostichus melanarius? - Pterostichus melanarius

Pterostichus melanarius? - Pterostichus melanarius
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
August 28, 2017
Size: +/-18mm
I think it is P. melanarius, but got confused in the Pterostichus key. I have got many that look similar to this, but with quit some size difference.
Is anybody familiar with how much size difference I am likely to encounter in my area (Saskatoon, Sk, CA)?

P. melanarius
According to Bousquet's 2010 ID guide(1), the body size ranges from 12mm to 19mm. That's a guide for northeastern north america, but it probably applies in your area as well. That's a pretty wide size range, but a lot of Pterostichus look similar so you could have a mix of species.
