Size: 5 mm
Large Appressed hairs covering all surfaces. Erect micro hairs scattered on elytra. Large hatchetshaped maxillary palpi.
Pronotum with shallow depressions (catching the light on left side).
Tarsus with penultimate tarsomeres lobed beneath. Prosternal process acutely ending before touching coxae. Hind coxae separated by acute process of first ventrite. Antennal insertions under small frons shelf. Tarsi 5-5-4. Claws without basal tooth. Lateral edge of abdominal segments margined the entire length of the body.

Fluorescent Black light & mercury vapor light. 80ยบ during the day and pleasant at night. Meadow drying out, but a wet spring left lots of grasses and many flowers still abundant where not dry. Coniferous forest around meadow and nearby stream 200 yds away
