Bush Morning Glory Beetle - Megacerus discoidus - male

Bush Morning Glory Beetle - Megacerus discoidus - Male
Aurora, Colorado, Aurora County, Colorado, USA
September 26, 2007
Size: 34K
I found these little guys when they cut their way out of bush morning glory seeds. Other than wanting to know what they are is, are they an unwanted species. At least 75% of the seeds I collected were occupied by their caterpiller state. Now the rest of my seeds are hatching these guys.
