Draeculacephala mollipes? -
Draeculacephala antica
Dixon, Phelps County, Missouri, USA
September 19, 2007
This is the first leaf hopper bug I've seen at my porch light. Is it Draeculacephala mollipes? I tried to research it, but my internet is slow and times out before all of the images load.

Thank you
I thought I had this one, too. That's why I always post through the ID request, because I'm usually wrong--no matter how sure I am. Well, that, and the fact that I never know if my photo will add to the guide or not, so I prefer to let the experts decide what stays and what goes.

...and thank you!
Amateur photographers continue to amaze me; you wonderful people are sending me in real eye-openers almost every day. One never knows what to expect. Keep up the good work, and thanks for the contact!
Please spread the word: it is impolite to post pictures and NOT to include an address for contact purposes. That's like expecting a service without having to pay for it. I have done a number of identifications for people who never respond to requests for contact information.

I'm confused
My contact information is and has been available. I don't know if you were posting that statement in general, but if you click on my name, my email address is there. In fact, I have been contacted by individuals several times in the past. Is there some other type of information you're referring to?
