Maple Spanworm caterpillar - Ennomos magnaria
Many Glacier, Glacier National Park, Glacier County, Montana, USA

Size: 3 cm
This remarkable caterpillar was in conifer forests of the Northern Rocky Mountains. It matched PERFECTLY the bark of the Black Cottonwood it was on--outstanding camouflage!
