Hodges#8250 - Pygarctia pterygostigma - Female
1.3 miles NW of Camp Wood, Edwards County, Texas, USA
October 10, 2017
I pulled the legs off of this specimen in order to photograph the ventral view of the abdomen more accurately. I discovered that the foretibias are dark gray and the abdomen is solid gray. The sides show black markings along the abdominal segments. These features make it easy to separate it from Euchaetes polingi.
