Changes to Typhlocybinae

Based on the recent Dietrich publication, Jorumini is actually invalid and instead exists inside Empoascini.

Also, Forcipata is now in its own tribe, Forcipatini.

Empoasca
in addition to the other changes, please move this page to within subgenus Hebata.

OK,
sent the request to John VanDyk

Empoasca
Please change this page to a no-taxon page and move it within E. nigra. I'll take care of the rest.

https://bugguide.net/node/view/463784/tree

Our point once again is that we don't
create new pages and then delete old ones. We simply change the old page into the new one that we need. Put everything on the old subgenus page that will belong on the new genus page. Delete the new genus page. And then we will ask John VanDyk to change the old subgenus page into a genus page and place it where it belongs. Any time what you plan to do will require us to delete a page, stop. Let's see if we can accomplish the same end just by editing. We only use delete when there is simply nothing else we can do. Thanks

Alrighty
I put everything back. It would be nice to have the ability to edit subgenus or no taxon pages. Not having that ability overcomplicates matters.

Let me know when everything has been properly updated.

It looks like you are making a genus Kybos page
We don't need to do that. We can simply change the current subgenus Kybos page into a genus Kybos page. Please clarify before you get too far and we have to move everything back.

Kybos
Yes, I made a genus page for that. And moved the species accounts over for the subgenus. Was waiting for the images to move before I made a comment here saying the subgenus page could be removed.

Eratoneura
We can move all these records to genus level and then remove this page; its not necessary.

amazing how you are making sense of the mess we have had here. Big Thanks!

Erasmoneura
Can Erasmoneura be modified so that it's recognized as a genus? Currently its a No Taxon page.

4) We moved the subgenus Erasmoneura up and out of Erythroneura to Tribe Erythroneurini and sent a note to John VanDyk asking that he change it to a genus Erasmoneura. You will have to edit those pages now since the info pages talk about the subgenus.

Right
I guess John hasn't changed it from a No Taxon page yet

OK
Genus Joruma moved and note sent to John VanDyk to redirect calls for Jorumini to Joruma and then delete.
No taxon link in Erythroneura, "species reviewed" moved those few pics to genus level and deleted the page
Also moved all the images from subgenus Erythroneura to the genus page

Erythroneura
We can delete the pages for "delicata or vagabunda" and "Subgenus Erythroneura"

5) We moved all the species from subgenus Erythroneura and put them under genus Erythroneura. You will have to check and see if there is anything on the subgenus info page that you want before we ask John to redirect and remove it.
Are you saying you checked the info page and there is nothing there that you want to copy and save?

info
I'll move any info here within the next few minutes from that page, then it will be ready to be removed

OK, sent a message to John VanDyk
asking him to redirect any calls for the Subgenus Erythroneura page and then delete it. Thanks

Thanks!
It will take me a bit of time to work through Erythroneura, slow progress with these microhoppers

Some questions, comments, and thoughts
1) are you saying the genus Joruma should be moved to Empoascini and Jorumini redirected and removed?
2)We created the tribe Forcipatini and moved the genus Forcipata there. There is an image in Tribe Dikraneurini that may be Forcipata. We'll leave it to you to make that decision. Is there any longer a need for a Subtribe Dikraneurina page now that Forcipata is gone?
3) we deleted the calycula or cymbium page. It was a No Taxon and seemed unlikely there were any links to it.
4) We moved the subgenus Erasmoneura up and out of Erythroneura to Tribe Erythroneurini and sent a note to John VanDyk asking that he change it to a genus Erasmoneura. You will have to edit those pages now since the info pages talk about the subgenus.
5) We moved all the species from subgenus Erythroneura and put them under genus Erythroneura. You will have to check and see if there is anything on the subgenus info page that you want before we ask John to redirect and remove it.
It wil take some time for all the images to catch up with the moves, but they should be in their new places soon.
We think that's all :)

Thoughts
1) Correct, Joruma should be moved and Jorumini deleted
2) Will take a look at that image when I get to it.
3) There's another no taxon link in Erythroneura, a "species reviewed" page, and I think we can delete it and move all those pics to genus level.
4) Cool, will take a look
5) Same, will take a look

Thanks! I'll post any other Typhlocybinae changes here.

calycula or cymbium

Erythroneura
We can remove subgenus from Erythroneura; its just Erythroneura. And we can move what has been the species under 'subgenus Erasmoneura' to genus Erasmoneura.
