well with specimens identified as erythrogaster in the collection.

Suggestion
I searched Nearctica for a name that points to a red abdomen (unusual feature in Quedius), and found Quedius erythrogaster.

This one does look different than the other Quedius in the guide. Maybe that'll help in identifying it.

but yours seems not to have the many punctures on head and pronotum, and the form of pronotum indicates Quedi*us sp. (Microsaurus subgenus, different features taken into account). Guess it can be identified, remarcably coulored as it is . . .
