Yellow-veined Moth - Microtheoris ophionalis

Yellow-veined Moth - Microtheoris ophionalis
Sierra Vista, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
July 1, 2007
Came to light. I don't know whether this is subspecies baboquivariensis or eremica or occidentalis.

According to info on this page, M. o. baboquivariensis was described from a specimen collected in Baboquivari Mountains, which are west of Sierra Vista (and Ron Leuschner reported one from Cochise County two years ago in the Lep. Soc. Season Summary). Subspecies eremica was described from western Texas, and subspecies occidentalis was described from southern British Columbia but is the most common subspecies recorded in California. Also see pics of subspecies by Jim Vargo at MPG.
