moth - Scopula

moth - Scopula
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
November 5, 2017

This example lacks the requisite line of dark dots on abdominal segments and the wing shapes (FW and HW) are recognizably different. Moreover, I don't think Scopula aemulata has been documented as far west as Austin. This might be Lobocleta ossularia or something else.

Yes
I agree with you. In addition, the shape of the PM line is more consistent with Scopula benitaria. (one large, single outward-pointing tooth, near the costal edge)

Scopula
Looks like Scopua aemulata
