Psocoptera - Ectopsocus Springfield, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA April 12, 2005 Size: ~2mm
This small bug (think aphid-sized) was on the underside of a damaged rhododendron leaf, and I brought it in to photograph, believing it was a tiny fly. Upon seeing it through my macro equipment, I now believe it is some member of order Psocoptera. The shape reminds me of a bark louse in some ways, though I really have no idea what this is. It can also run quickly and fly. Any help identifying is appreciated.
