Cecropia moth cocoon?

Cecropia moth cocoon?
Montauk, Suffolk County, New York, USA
January 26, 2018
I found this lying on the ground near a freshwater wetland in Montauk NY. It was on a branch that had fallen. I have no idea how high up the branch was on the tree. Someone said it may be a cecropia moth casing/cocoon. The case has "glued" leaves on it. It has a perfect round hole at the top. To me, it doesn't much resemble any pictures I've looked at of a cecropia cocoon/chrysalis.

This doesn't look like a Cecr
This doesn't look like a Cecropia cocoon to me. Closer to an Io or Polyphemus. Maybe some other silk moths make such elliptical cocoons as well. Cecropia cocoons are much more spindle-shaped and attached more extensively along the long axis.
