Damselfly - Argia plana

Damselfly - Argia plana
Red Rock Canyon, Caddo County, Oklahoma, USA
September 29, 2007
This one seemed to be a much more intense blue than the ones I have seen here in Eastern Oklahoma.
This looks, to my uneducated eye like Argia vivida, which is not shown as being in Oklahoma on the range maps.

The thorax certainly does look like
Argia vivida. This is not one of our northeastern Argia. Don't know what other Argia are possible down your way

Argia vivida
Thanks. I sent the picture to Rick Grantham at OSU, He should know.

Argia plana
Rick Grantham entomologist at OSU suggests this is Argia plana.
Seems to match images at Bugguide.
