Anicla tenuescens

Anicla tenuescens
Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, Sherburne County, Minnesota, USA
September 12, 2017
Size: WS = 25mm
To my eye the voucher specimen looks much more like the CNC-CBIF image at MPG, which is to say darker, grayer, with more dark shading along the hindwing costa and apex than my flash image conveys. Robert Dana of the Minnesota Dept. of Natural Resources has recorded this species from western Minnesota (pers. comm.).
