Captured from fleabane (Erigeron) on July 10, 2016 when quite small. Here July 25 at 45mm. The spiracles are pink, which should make this postera, as per the preliminary key to Cucullia asteroides group larvae on page 311 of Wagner's Owlet Caterpillars. Adult eclosed but not photographed. DNA has been submitted to Wagner's lab for analysis but results not yet known.
