That could be. I was thinking Uloborus based on the web design.

 
It
is a subadult male Argiope, but I see what you mean I think.
The moisture on the web and zigzagging lines around the hub seem to be giving it the appearance of a cribellate orb typical of a Uloborid.

I don’t think I’ve photographed a male before. I have both Argiope aurantia
Argiope trifasciata females in my Prairie, so I’m assuming it is the male of one of those two.
