Young katydid? - Scudderia mexicana

Young katydid? - Scudderia mexicana
Palms, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, USA
August 24, 2017
Found this at an elementary school. Pretty sure it’s a katydid, but not sure which kind.

Scudderia mexicana nymph…
See reference here.

Should be a Scudderia young nymph
Compare with bugguide pics. The insect will gradually green as it matures.

Young nymphs are apparently extremely difficult/impossible to identify to species for this genus.
