Diapheromora walking-stick - Diapheromera arizonensis - male

Diapheromora walking-stick - Diapheromera arizonensis - Male
Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, USA
September 23, 2007
Size: Medium
This is the larger (female?) individual

Diapheromera, and I think this one is male
Middle femur is enlarged, but not so much as in other species. Also, I suspect this one is not quite fully grown either (though older and large than the other one).

Moved from Diapheromera.

to guide page.

Correct!
I don't see any modifications to the femur on the middle leg, which tells me this is likely a female. Neat!
