Homoeosoma deceptorium? from native thistle seedhead - Homoeosoma

Homoeosoma deceptorium? from native thistle seedhead - Homoeosoma
Woodbury, Washington County, Minnesota, USA
September 16, 2014
A number of these were found by Sarah Foltz Jordan while seed collecting native Cirsium discolor on a South Washington Conservation Corridor area. They were found singly in the mature seed heads. Rearing efforts resulted in several adults eclosing in July, 2015. I have replaced my poor comparative image of three adults with better dorsal and ventral views of each. Though different individuals, I have kept them together here to facilitate comparison.

They look right to me
Though gray phycitines are tough. I don’t know of anything else that fits. The suboptimal aesthetics are improved by the quality pinning :)
