Mite

Mite
Milton, Massachusetts, USA
April 13, 2005
Size: 1/10"
This little bug has 8 legs, so it isn't an insect. I found it under a rock. That's as much as I know about it. Can anyone help on this one?

Hello Tom,
Yes, this is a mite, and it is from the family Cunaxidae!
They are predators, and hunt other small creatures, like Collembola.
Greetings,

Gerard, I thought it was a mite, but a kind I've never seen before.
Thanks to you, I know what it is.
