Size: ~15 mm in length
Attracted to porch lights. Surrounding habitat oak-dominated mixed woodlands. This species is not included in the Beadle & Leckie edition of the Peterson "Moths of Eastern North America" field guide, but the older Covell edition says it is "locally common in sandy coastal habitats from Mass. to N.C. Sept.; 1 brood." (Covell, 2005, p. 93.)
