Size: 2.2mm
Diving in small water-filled recess area. Front tibia appear flattened and curved. I'm guessing Neoporus in Dytiscidae.

Moved from Beetles.

appears to be a Liodessus

I'm guessing one of the Bidessini based on size. If you have photos which show the pronotum and color pattern of the elytra a little more clearly, I might be able to get a genus name for you.

I can't help with the pronotu
I added another shot, similar to the first, to help with the pronotum. As far as I saw and see the pronotum seemed to be uniformly colored as shown. I've added another that might help with the elytra. I was actually surprised that I could get any pattern at all on the elytra. The bug in hand looked like it had black elytra. I had to shine a light from the side while looking under my microscope to get this definition.

if you want to see patterns
on the elytra, dry the beetle first. Check out my 2010 FL water beetle guide.
