Snail damage? - Japanagromyza viridula

Snail damage? - Japanagromyza viridula
Anderson County, Texas, USA
I found this leaf with holes ranging from 4mm to nearly 1cm in width. I’m thinking possible snail damage. It was already dead on the ground, but signs indicate it was alive when eaten. It’s from an oak.

Moved tentatively

Please correct date

I can’t remember when I got
I can’t remember when I got it and I don’t know how to eliminate the date. I found it as a dead leaf already anyway.

I removed the date
All you have to do is click the "edit" link below the photo and delete what's in the date field.

We can't say conclusively that these holes were made by J. viridula, but it's likely.
