frantic web vibration when threatened by possible Argiope trifasciata

Hi there, I live in South eastern BC. Hot and dry in summer. Usually in August I suddenly have wonderful garden webs side by side of varying sizes of a spider similar to images seen of Argiope trifasciata.
when one touches the web, they start pulsating high frequency trampoline acts, they stay put but become a blur. Is this consistent with this particular family or a cross species survival trick or are they in training for the summer olympics? Thanks Rogerbc

Defense
Argiope aurantia is known to use web vibrations as a defensive mechanism, and many other unrelated spiders will do this too. I have even seen a large mosquito-shaped dipteran perform this trick with its long legs!
