Paul,
How are you making this species determination? I have had three BOLD tested and all came back
Zale calycanthata
. I asked Ed Knudson to identify one of mine long before he died. He thought it was
Zale colorado
because I usually have more western species.
I just posted dissections. I continually dissect the ones I see to see if I can spot a Z. colorado to test, but after many dissections I have not found one. I have studied the BOLD photos of Z. colorado and cannot find any consistant differences.
I would appreciate an education from you on the subject.
BG only has two photos for Z. colorado - the first one from Barksdale only 1.5 miles from us as the crow flies and this one from Dave who is about 50 miles from us as the crow flies.
