Size: 3/4 inch long
weather has warmed to above freezing. Notice these bugs periodically crawling around inside house. They do seem to fly short distances. Have never seen other years.

western conifer seed bug. Harmless, they come indoors looking for warmth

I agree on ID, but not necessarily completely harmless - they are known to damage some fruits. But, yeah, harmless in your home.
