Orange moth with black spots - Clepsis peritana
Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, USA

This was an orange moth with a dark band across the midline and two black semi-ovals near the apices. I think he would be classified as a micro moth with length < 1.0cm.

Moved, Clepsis peritana
Moved from ID Request. Micro- and macrolepidoptera are divided by taxonomic groupings rather than size, though macros tend to be larger than micros. As a tortricid, this species is a micro.
