Ligia exotica? - Ligia

Ligia exotica? - Ligia
Perrin River, Gloucester County, Virginia, USA
June 17, 2017
These things are a p.i.t.a. to photograph. If you move within 10 feet of the things, they run as fast as they can under the rocks. Even when nothing is threatening them, i found very few that would just sit still. Due to the fact they would never let you get close, that made for some unfavorable zooming conditions, which in turn forced me to take some rather noisy photos. I hope these are good enough for an ID. If not, i'll be back at the location in June and get some more shots. I've been to the location a couple dozen times over the past 15 years and these pesky little fellas have been there ever since.
