Fuzzy Caterpillar - Malacosoma americana
mobile, Alabama, USA

i dont know what this is but i want to know how to raise it. or atleast what it is and what it eats.

Your right!
It is an EASTERN TENT caterpillar. It mostly eats oak and maple leaves.
I'm trying to raise one myself. His name is JUNIOR.He's getting pretty big!!

Yours Are Farther Along
Wow, yours are quite a bit farther along than ours. We are just starting to see the first tiny tents and tiny caterpillars. Ah well not surprising given the climatic differences between Alabama and West Virginia.
