White Form Female Orange Sulphur For Illinois In October - Colias eurytheme - Female

Data posting for this species in Illinois, for the month of October.

As always, since this is the rarer form, I like to be sure and post it if I see one for the month. There wasn't a lot of white on the outside of this one, but there was plenty on the inside of the wings.

The brightly colored
discal area makes this a normal female Orange. White form females do not have this brightly colored discal area.

Normal Female Orange Sulphurs
Normal Female Orange Sulphurs do not have white wings, either. Even I can clearly see white showing on the outside of the wings and on the inside, it was totally white. At the very least, this is not a "normal" Orange Sulphur.

Look at
Brock & Kaufman, p 61. Whatever it is, it's certainly not a white form female. The wings on your specimen aren't exactly white either.

Perhaps
Perhaps this one is some sort of intergrade - caught somewhere in between a regular Orange Sulphur and one that's totally white? I'm telling you, the inside was totally white! White I can see.
