Brown and yellow moth dark - Besma quercivoraria - male

Brown and yellow moth dark - Besma quercivoraria - Male
Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, USA
March 4, 2018
This was a brown and yellow moth with a wingspan of about 3.5 cm. He seems to have three layers with a base layer of light yellow, a "spider web" layer of thin dark orange strands, and a top layer of wide-swathed dark brown. His AP and median lines seem to be connected by an hour glass shape on each forewing. His right apex looks like a scroll turned under. This moth and "brown and yellow moth light" were found together, about 1 inch apart. I'm guessing the moth I'm documenting here is the male of the species.
