Found in stand of redwoods, relatively open understory, medium density of grasses and short tan oaks.

Laphria sackeni
I think this might be Laphria sackeni, it seems to match the descriptions and other pictures of that species. Nearly the same as Laphria astur, but without yellow hairs in front of or below the wings and halteres. Is there a Laphria specialist who can check this?
