Generic name
Anticlea is from Greek mythology, the mother of Odysseus.

Remarks
Anticlea was also a genus of plants in the lily family but is now considered a synonym of
Zigadenus - example:
Zigadenus (Anticlea) elegans is one of several species called
Death Camas or Poison Camas.
