Bee - Pemphredon

Bee - Pemphredon
Reed-Turner Woodland Nature Preserve, Lake County, Illinois, USA
September 27, 2007

Moved
Moved from Aphid Wasps.

Pemphredon
The very chunky head (similar to many Crabronini such as Ectemnius!) is one of the distinctive field characters for the genus.

Not bee:-)
Great image of an aphid wasp, though! Pemphredoninae in Crabronidae.

thanks Eric.
