Asilid - Holopogon - Female
Ramsey Canyon Preserve in Huachuca Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona, USA

Female Holopogon, I believe. Correction/confirmation appreciated.

She was perching on a twig/stem tip within probably 6-8 inches of the ground, just adjacent to a mulched path. Prey is a small fly of some sort, possibly Phoridae.
