Has anyone knowledge of rearing katydids? I've never even tried.

Meadow katydid nymphs are pretty easy to rear in my experience. They like carrots and lettuce, and I usually give them a little bottle cap of fish flakes for protein (they love it, but I have to remove it after a day or so as mold grows fast). Some twigs to hang off of for molting are necessary, as well as fairly high humidity (just don't poke air holes).

I wrote about rearing a Conocephalus gracillimus nymph here. I have also used this method successfully with Conocephalus fasciatus, Conocephalus nigropleurum, and Orchelimum minor.

Moved from Coneheads and Meadow Katydids.

This is fantastic.
I didn't actually expect to get an answer so thank you very much.
Now I have to try!
