head shot
not the most easy angle; a head shot would be better. Probably it is Trirhbda adela

No head shot
I added a slightly different angle (and slightly blurry):
Next summer I'll be more willing to wade into undergrowth in search of better bug pictures.

Trirhbda adela
thanks for the extra photo. The spot on the head better visible on this one and seems to confirm Trirhada adela. Compare

Why not T. canadensis?
How you can tell it is
T. adela
and not the similar-looking
T. canadensis
? Location? Plant?
There is currently no
T adela
page here. If you get one created I'll move the photo. Otherwise I guess it lives under the genus.

not canadensis
the difference is in the spot on the head. T. canadensis has only a small square spot, while the spot of adela is bigger and less squared. T. borealis is also similar but has the spot even more elongated. The best way to compare these three is the North Dakota site I linked to above.
Allthough I have identified several T. adela and T. borealis in the guide there have no pages been made by any editor for them yet.
