Unknown insect larvae found in central Maine autumn of 2017

Unknown insect larvae found in central Maine autumn of 2017
Maine, USA
I found this guy on my windshield when I came back to my vehicle after taking care of a property. I assume it fell out of the one of the many trees I was under. Mostly oak and maple. The property I was at was on a dirt road parallel to a wide river. The picture was taking in the fall of last year (2017) I think I was in the Brunswick Maine region but I travel all over southern and central Maine and I don't remember which town I was in now.

Moved from ID Request.

From what I’ve heard, don’t touch it!

Hag moth
Good advice. I wasn't sure what it was so I didn't touch it. Just got my thumb in that shot for a size comparison. Thanks for commenting.

Phobetron pithecium
hag moth. Nice, I looked for these in Maine for many years and only ever found one adult

Monkey slug
Thanks for the identification. I couldn't tell you how many insect larvae, especially caterpillars I googled trying to find an I.D. for what this little guy was before I came across this web site. I'll finally be able to sleep at night, lol. My curiosity about this visiter was really bugging me. Thank you and thanks to BugGuide, what a great resource.
